At Ocean Drive Ibiza we are celebrating. As you already know, this year 2023 we will be open to the public for 25 years. 25 years as a hotel, but also as an icon and refuge for countless artists of great recognition in electronic music who, summer after summer, land on our island to light up the nights of the most emblematic and famous clubs around the world.
We have been preparing for this moment for some time, in which we want to honour and thank all those who have placed their trust in us. But we would also like new faces and personalities to identify with our essence and philosophy.
To this end, we have worked hard on a commemorative campaign that is giving us great joy. The 25th anniversary campaign is made up of 3 main axes: a change of its interior design, a continued promotion of music and a tribute to 3 great DJ artists linked in a very special way with the Ocean Drive Ibiza hotel.
The façade of our hotel is more than familiar to the island's residents and repeat visitors, but today, its interior has been completely renovated. The new Ocean Drive immerses you in the elegance of Art Deco, geometric lines and colours that transport you to the wonderful, golden 1920s: redesigned common areas, a new lobby, an elegant restaurant, terrace, lobby and sky bar with the best views of the city.
And continuing with the renovated spaces of the legendary Ocean Drive, one of our novelties is the cosy "Listening Corner", where we carry out a monthly
a musical event that seeks to give analogue sounds back their deserved prominence. "Analog Explorer is the spark that brings Ocean Drive back to its origins; we bring back an organic and natural sound, taking attendees on an authentic auditory journey. The Listening Corner is also a space to be enjoyed in a more intimate way. At any time of the day, you can go there to enjoy the greatest hits of music in vinyl format, thanks to two hi-fi players and a wide collection of records that will delight all music lovers.
Our hotel would not be what it is without its guests. Many of them, national and international DJ's who have sought in us the comfort and tranquillity of feeling at home once their sessions are over. Each of them has left their mark on the personality, character and current DNA of Ocean Drive, giving birth to "made of music, made of moments", our great tribute to those who have chosen us. That is why we have named 3 of our suites after 3 of these great DJs. Each of these rooms contains a signed photo and a detail that the artists themselves have given to the hotel on the occasion of the 25th anniversary. Can you imagine sleeping in Armin Van Buuren's suite? Well, it is possible.
Armin Van Buuren was born in Leiden, the Netherlands, on 25 December 1976. His musical motivation started thanks to his father, a great lover of Christian music. On the other hand, from an early age, he felt a great interest in computers and technology, which led him to finally get his first mixer, which together with a synthesizer inherited from his father, made him take the first steps towards music production.
Who would have thought that this young boy would be a recognised master of electronic music today.
In the prestigious rankings compiled by DJ Magazine, Armin has held the title of number one DJ in the world on multiple occasions, specifically in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. This achievement is indeed exceptional, as he is the only artist so far to have won this award consecutively for four years and has taken the top spot on five occasions in total.
Since 2001, Armin has been the mastermind behind "A State of Trance", a weekly radio show that reaches an audience of millions of people in countries around the world. The show has become one of the most listened to shows internationally, making its mark on the electronic music scene.
With the release of his 2008 studio album "Imagine", he quickly climbed to number one in the Dutch album charts. This achievement was a milestone, as he was the first electronic music artist to reach this coveted spot in the Dutch music charts.
The quality of his work was further underlined in 2014, when he was nominated for a coveted Grammy Award in the Best Dance Recording category for his hit single "This Is What It Feels Like", in collaboration with the talented Trevor Guthrie. This recognition only reaffirmed the global influence of his music.
In the United States, he has achieved an impressive record of twenty-one albums on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart. His impact on dance and electronic music is undeniable, and his legacy continues to grow with each new creation he shares with the world.

We were lucky enough, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of our Ocean Drive Ibiza hotel, to travel to the Armada Music offices in Amsterdam to interview the legend of electronic music, Armin Van Buuren. During the interview, we had the opportunity to learn about his beginnings in the world of music, his connection to the island of Ibiza and, of course, to our Ocean Drive hotels.
Armin has been a valued guest at Ocean Drive Ibiza for many years and we would like to thank him for his trust and support. It has been a real pleasure for our team to ensure that all his stays have been absolutely rewarding.
When Armin Van Buuren arrived on the island of Ibiza, he did so looking for a magic that everyone had told him about, but which he didn't find on his first time. It took him years to understand the Balearic rhythm, the hippie culture, the specialness of its coves, its gastronomy... Finally, he understood that he would find the magic by immersing himself in Ibizan life, not just passing through it. 16 years as a resident in Ibiza, and always staying at Ocean Drive. Today, he himself recognises that staying at our hotel is "like coming home", which can't make us feel any better.
